Duties

To assist in implementation and on-going support, particularly in container platform, Linux and Esri ArcGIS for the new systems
To assist in the support of the new system database
To assist in the system integration of the new system to vendor-provided public cloud and delivery of the public cloud service
To examine the security measures for system infrastructure of the new system according to the prevailing security regulations and guidelines
To assist in the design of application deployment based on the industrial best practices under Kubernetes envirnment;
To provide on-going support and maintenance on system infrastructure of the new system with multiple vendors
To ensure good communication between project teams, vendors stakeholders, end users and other Bureaux/ Departments
Prepare / write relevant documentations like the system design, architecture and specifications
To analyse and test system functions before patch release for formal launch
To conduct site visits to data centres and branch offices located in HKSAR if necessary
To attend outdoor duties when necessary
To work irregular hours if necessary

Requirements

Have a University Degree in Computer/ Information Technology or equivalent;
Have a minimum of 4 years' post-qualification IT experience with at least 3 years' experience in systems/projects/companies of similar capacity
Have a minimum of 2 years solid Microsoft .NET programming experience or Java programming experience or Node.js programming experience
Be a quick learner in container and kubernetes technology through online training or self-study (training materials will be arranged)
Familiar with relational database (e.g. MS SQL database) and application framework development
Have experience on mobile & wireless technology
Hands-on experience in Java/ Node.js/.NET Core, SQL, Git
Experience in Spring Boot, Python, RESTful API, web services, micro-services, CI/CD, Database clustering is preferred
Have advantages for holder of below Esri Certificates/ Course or equivalent

- - ArcGIS Developer Foundation
- - ArcGIS Pro Foundational
Have advantages for holder of below Red Hat Certificates or equivalent
- - Red Hat Certified System Administrator
- - Red Hat Certified Engineer
- - Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration
- - Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Application Development
- - Red Hat Certified Specialist in Containers and Kubernetes
- - Red Hat Certified Specialist in Security: Containers and OpenShift Container Platform
Have good communication skill with the ability to communicate in both verbal & written English and Chinese
Be preferred to have project experience with the government
Fast learner with passion on new technologies
The job requires the following mandatory skills:
- 2 years x IT Application Development and Management and Web Programming
- 1 year x Web Services
