Duties

Design and maintain small-to-medium AI systems using frameworks like LangChain, Hugging Face, and vLLM. Deliver scalable solutions aligned with business needs.
Maintain and enhance front-end and back-end components of AI systems, focusing on chatbot UI, pipelines, and authentication. Support full-stack integration.
Collaborate with teams and partners to integrate advanced AI models and containerized services. Ensure compatibility and performance.
Build data validation and preprocessing pipelines, including OCR, scraping, and RAG indexing. Ensure data quality and model accuracy.
Develop technical documentation such as architecture, deployment, and testing guides. Support maintainability and knowledge transfer.
Support model lifecycle tasks including training, fine-tuning, quantization, and stress testing. Optimize performance and scalability.
Improve UX for AI systems, including chatbot interfaces, dashboards, and workflows. Enhance usability and output clarity.
Work with data teams to design SQL, NoSQL, and vector database solutions. Support AI training, retrieval, and RAG pipelines.
Assist procurement of AI infrastructure and services, including vendor evaluation and tender processes.
Support cost and resource planning.
- Present and demonstrate AI systems through reports, demos, and knowledge sharing. Facilitate stakeholder communication.
- Conduct R&D and continuous learning on AI trends and tools. Evaluate and adopt new techniques and platforms.
- Perform business analysis, feasibility studies, and prompt engineering. Support AI use-case development.
- Manage vendors and contractors for outsourced AI projects. Ensure quality delivery and compliance.
- Ensure timely delivery using Agile practices, CI/CD, and code reviews. Implement security controls including scanning, SSO, and data protection.

Requirements

Degree or higher diploma in computer subjects or related disciplines;
3 years or above hands-on experience in IT application development of which 1 years must be in similar post and in comparable capacity;
Solid hands-on experience in containerized application deployment using Docker, including image building, multi-stage builds, security scanning of Docker images, Nginx reverse-proxy configuration and container orchestration for GPU/NPU workloads
Strong hands-on experience in full-stack application development and data integration, including RESTful APIs, WebSocket communication, message queues, OAuth/SSO, and data cleansing services; prior delivery of end-to-end chatbot or workflow systems is required
Demonstrated end-to-end experience in data mining, business intelligence, statistical modelling and machine-learning application development, with the ability to operationalize models into production
Strong commitment to project deadlines through weekly / bi-weekly sprint cycles, with documented evidence of consistent on-time delivery across multiple concurrent workstream
Creative, analytical, self-initiative, responsible, well-organized and possessing a strong R&D mindset with demonstrated track record of self-driven innovation
Strong knowledge of system design, solution architecture and database design, with the ability to produce, review and comment on SA&D, Application Architecture and Data Architecture documents
Proven hands-on experience with Agile / Scrum / DevOps methodologies, Jira ticket management, sprint planning and PR-based code review
Strong familiarity and hands-on production experience with LLM, RAG and GenAI technologies, including LangChain, LlamaIndex, multi-agent orchestration, advanced RAG (multi-engine routing, hybrid retrieval, re-ranking) and prompt engineering
Hands-on experience in Vision-Language Models (VLMs) and Computer Vision (CV) model development, deployment and stress testing
Hands-on experience on LLM fine-tuning, model optimization (quantization, pruning, distillation) and multi-GPU distributed training (DDP)
At least 2-year hands-on experience on SQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL)
At least 2-year hands-on experience on NoSQL and/or Vector Databases for RAG indexing and semantic search
At least 2-year hands-on experience on Git commands and Git workflow (branching, PR, merge, rebase)
At least 2-year hands-on experience on CI/CD pipelines and deployment to UAT / Production environments
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, including AWS Certified credentials
Hands-on experience with web scraping, document parsing, OCR and document preprocessing techniques across heterogeneous formats (PDF, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, images)
Hands-on experience in security implementation for AI applications, including anti-virus scanning, SSO integration, account lock-out policies
Proven experience in vendor and contractor management for AI / IT outsourced projects, including source-code verification, security review, tender assessment and acceptance testing
Good communication skills in English (working/professional) and Cantonese (native) with the ability to deliver technical presentations, demos and knowledge-sharing
Good interpersonal relationships and emotional management, with demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional internal teams and external partners under tight timelines
Experience in web application deployment procedures, source code version control and issue management are a plus
The job requires the following mandatory skills:
- 2 years x Infrastructure, Linux System Administration, Object-oriented Analysis and Design, Structured Query Language, Web Programming, Project Management
- 6 months x Work experience with/in the Government
