Duties
- A Contract Systems Analyst will be responsible for the network design and specify new network components for the project. S/he will perform and manage various procurement, installation, vendor/user coordination, implementation, on-site testing and documentation tasks to achieve the project objectives. The main duties are:
- To be responsible for project coordination, designing and implementing of the network infrastructure for training facilities of new CSC building in compliance with the government IT security policy and standards
- To conduct feasibility study and requirement analysis, prepare technical specification and conduct technical evaluation
- To design and implement a Wi-Fi infrastructure and system covering all training and public area of the new CSC building
- To liaise with parties concerned (including system owners, business users and vendors) for conducting network analysis and design, network implementation and testing, system integration and ongoing activities support
- To work with Architectural Services Department & the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department on the site preparation work
- To assist supervisors in vendor management and managing outsourcing activities including quality assurance of deliverables and service acceptance
- To support supervisors in providing technical advice to management, users or communities as appropriate
Requirements
- Higher Diploma/Degree holder in Computer Science or equivalent
- A minimum of 4 years' post-qualification information technology experience of which 1 year must be in a similar post and in a comparable capacity
- Experience with design, site preparation, network implementation and network maintenance is definite advantage
- Hands-on experience in project management for implementation of IT infrastructure-related projects
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Good interpersonal and communication skills and a team player
- Good oral and written communication skills in both Chinese and English
- The job requires the following mandatory skills:
- 3 years x Infrastructure
- 2 years x Internet Firewall Technical Support, Networking, Router Configuration and Site Preparation Experience
- 1 year x Network & System Management, Work experience with/in the Government and Management and Support of Gov't Systems & Services
- 3 years x Infrastructure
