The post provides client liaison, technical advisory and support services to the project teams of Government B/Ds using Government Cloud Infrastructure Services (GCIS) services in particular during the migration of their systems/applications from GCIS to Government Data Centre Complex (GDCC). The major job duties include:

• Assisting the project manager to monitor the overall migration schedule of B/D's IT systems/applications from GCIS existing data centres to GDCC
• Providing technical advices to GCIS contractor on the infrastructure setup of GCIS in GDCC
• Providing technical advices and client support to the B/D's clients on their enquiries and reporting issues on the migration of their systems/applications to the newly setup GCIS in GDCC
• Coordinating and liaising with the B/D's clients to work out their migration approach and schedule
• Following with GCIS contractor to complete the service requests raised by B/D's clients during migration process
• Leading the client support team on resolving the technical issues among IaaS, PaaS, CaaS, DBaaS and shared services during migration of B/D's IT systems/applications
• Reviewing the project documents and contractor's deliverables related to the relocation project
• Candidate may require to provide support services after office hour

• Higher Diploma/Degree holder in Computer Science or equivalent
• At least 6 years of relevant post-qualification working experience
• At least 2 years of working experience as a Senior Systems Analyst
• The candidate must possess the following working experience:
  
  • At least two-year working experience as a team leader and at least four-year working experience in providing technical advices and support to clients using cloud services
  • At least four-year working experience in configuration and management of virtual machines and hosts on virtualization platform using VMware vSphere, Windows Server, RedHat Linux, Storage Area Network (SAN), Software Defined Network (VMware NSX-T preferable), Web Application Firewall, Object Storage, Load Balancer and open-source SQL database (e.g. MySQL and MariaDB)
  • At least four-year working experience in performing system administration tasks on SAN storage systems
  • At least four-year working experience in supporting the VM backup and replication solution with enterprise grade backup solution
  • Sound knowledge in Container hosting and orchestration platform (e.g. Red Hat Openshift Container Platform (OCP) or its community version (OKD)) and Network Attached Storage (NAS)
  • Solid working experience in migrating virtual machines between different VMware platforms
  • Solid working experience in design and setting up cloud infrastructure
• The candidate possess the following certification is desirable:
  
  • ITIL version 3 Foundation or equivalent
  • VMware Certified Professional in Data Center Virtualization 2021 or above
  • VMware Certified Professional in Network Virtualization 2021 or above
• The job requires the following mandatory skills:
  
  • 4 Years x System Backup Operation, Infrastructure, IT Operational Management, Storage Area Network and Server Virtualisation Technology
  • 3 Years x Client Service and IT Service Management
  • 2 Years x Work experience with/in the Government
