Subject to the implementation progress of the Fourth Generation Mobilising System (4GMS), the CSA will facilitate the following duties related to the 4GMS implementation

• To monitor and govern the advanced database administration of databases (Oracle, MS-SQL and MariaDB), including but not limited to the advanced Oracle database administration on active-active starched cluster, RAC cluster, GDS, OGG and advanced database security
  
• To monitor and govern the implementation of Virtualization Infrastructure, Backup and Recovery, and SAN/NAS Storage System by the contractor for the 4GMS. Ensure adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and best practices
  
• To monitor and govern the contractor to administrate, operate, upgrade, and support different Microsoft platform systems (Microsoft Windows 2019 AD, DNS, DHCP, DFS and SCOM) and various Linux platform systems. This includes maintaining and updating group policies, documenting account management procedures, adhering to departmental standards, monitoring and optimizing server performance, proposing measures to enhance server stability and performance, and conducting disaster recovery drills
  
• To collaborate with contractor to ensure proper database performance tuning, security assessments, and application of security patches in alignment with system requirements, maintain control and access to the system, maintain and review audit logs
• To provide technical oversight and guidance to the vendors in database configuration, virtualization  server operations, and storage system management
• To provide technical support services on various IT systems and infrastructure, either on-site, by email or on phone
  
• To monitor daily operations and project executions within the Infrastructure Team to ensure compliance with the regulations, standards, policies, and guidelines of the Government of HKSAR
  
• To prepare system documentation including installation and configuration guide, administration and  operation guide, system architecture and design specification, Proof-of-Concept evaluation, etc.
  
• To perform tasks related to project management and contract administration
  
• To undertake any other duties to be assigned by the supervisor

• Bachelor's degree awarded by a post-secondary institution in Hong Kong, including but not limited
  to the eight University Grants Committee funded universities in Hong Kong, or a bachelor's degree awarded by an overseas university or a polytechnic in the UK, the USA, Canada, New Zealand or Australia; or tertiary education institute
  
• At least 8 years post-qualification information technology experience of which at least 6 years must be in similar post and in comparable capacity
  
• At least 4 years in working experience as a Database Administrator
  
• At least 2 years working experience in mission critical system
  
• Possess recognized certificate in database administration of Oracle (e.g. Oracle Certified Associate or above)
  
• Familiar with Database Systems (Oracle, MSSQL, MariaDB), Virtualization Technologies (VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter), Storage and backup platform (HP3Par, Veeam)
  
• Proficiency in both spoken and written Cantonese and English
  
• The job requires the following mandatory skills:
  
  • 4 years x Microsoft Active Directory Administration, Data/File Backup Technology, Infrastructure, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Real Application Cluster, Oracle RDBMS, Storage Area Network and Server Virtualisation Technology
    
  • 2 years x Experience in Datacentre Maintenance, Data Encryption Technology, Endpoint Security Solutions, IT Security, Multi-vendor Mission Critical System, SQL*PLUS/PL/SQL/PRO*C, Security Risk Assessment and Audit, Structured Query Language, Security Risk Assessment and Vendor Management
    
  • 1 year x Work experience with/in the Government, Management and Support of Gov't Systems & Services and Experience in Managing Government Projects
