Duties

The implementation of a one-stop web platform for application and processing of after-death related public services:
- To provide overall technical support for the design and development of the platform
- To evaluate vendor-proposed solutions in terms of technical feasibility for meeting operational requirements, readiness of system deployment and security compliance
- To assist in analysing user requirements
- To assist in setting up server/cloud infrastructure
- To conduct user acceptance tests and follow up with the engaged contractor(s) and government staff for problem fixing
- To assist in IT-related procurement exercise, such as preparing technical specifications for service requirements
- To liaise with and manage the engaged contractor(s) and work with government staff for project implementation
The on-going enhancement and maintenance of Government web portal(s) on a multi-site platform:
- To perform ongoing system maintenance, including problem determination, management, resolving and bug fixing, and implementing software patch updates to ensure system stability and reliability
- To conduct impact analysis of bug fixes, configuration changes, or ad-hoc enhancements on system performance and user experience
- To monitor system performance, advise on system performance improvement options, and perform system tuning regularly to maintain optimal performance and availability
- To carry out system administration tasks such as user management, access control, security monitoring, and configuration management
- To implement ad-hoc enhancement requests and deliver solutions
- To discuss, coordinate and consult DPO technical support teams and other related government B/Ds and other contractor(s) on all maintenance and support matters and produce/maintain/review documentations
Other requirements:
- To assist in preparing/maintaining/reviewing IT-related deliverables
- To undertake other IT-related duties as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements

Higher Diploma/Degree holder in Computer Science or equivalent
At least 4 years of relevant post-qualification working experience
At least 1 year of working experience as a Systems Analyst
Knowledge in web platform development and administration is required
Knowledge in setting up server/cloud infrastructure is required
Working experience in user liaison and coordination is required
Project management experience or certification is most welcome
The job requires the following mandatory skills:
- 3 years x SSADM, Coordination and IT Service/ Outsourcing Management
- 2 years x Client/Server Application Development, JAVA Programming, PHP programming, Server Virtualisation Technology and Work experience with/in the Government
