Duties

To provide on-going system maintenance support, hand-on installation/configuration and server tuning to servers of different hardware (including Enterprise grade blade servers, FC/iSCSI SAN storages, FC/100G switches and etc.) and different operating system platforms (including Windows, Linux, VMware, Hyper-V)
To be specialised in Cloud platform with Windows Server, Linux Server, Microsoft System Center, Vmware Vcenter, Veeam, Software Defined Storage (SDS), Privileged Access Management (PAM), Central Application Monitoring and other server management software
To be specialised in Container platform with Red Hat OpenShift, Veeam Kasten, Palo Alto Prisma Cloud and CM-Series Container Firewall
To handle procurement exercise of server equipment and to arrange server maintenance renewals
To evaluate impact of server software installation, distribution, patching and updating
To co-ordinate with application teams, users and vendors for proper scheduling of system installation and maintenance works
To provide first-line and second-line standby on-call support of servers which may be caused by environmental issues, server hardware and/or system software problems
To assist IT team to handle administration works such as documentation, procurement, hardware/software inventory updating, bill payment and filing
To supervise staff under his/her charge for the above tasks

Requirements

Higher Diploma/Degree holder in Computer Science or equivalent
At least 4 years of relevant post-qualification working experience
At least 1 year of working experience as a Systems Analyst
Solid knowledge and good technical skill in supporting VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V virtualization infrastructure, Microsoft Software-Defined Storage, Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft System Center including SCCM/SCVMM, Microsoft Remote Desktop Service, Symantec Endpoint Protection, Veeam Backup and Replication 12
Solid knowledge and good technical skill in supporting blade server, SAN Storages through interfaces such as 6/12G SAS, 1/10/25/40/50/100G iSCSI and 8/16/32G Fiber Channel (FC)
Solid knowledge and good technical skill in supporting, maintaining and monitoring of Container platform is an advantage
Experience in supporting Microsoft SQL database, Oracle database, Oracle RAC, Linux (Red-hat, Ubuntu) is an advantage
Good communication and skills, both written and verbal, in Chinese or English
Good leadership skills in leading subordinates with different ranks
Good coordination skills in handling tasks with team members and other parties
Need to work in various office locations
May require to work in shift and irregular hours.
The job requires the following mandatory skills:
- 4 Years x Data/File Backup Technology and Server Virtualisation Technology
- 3 Years x Storage Area Network, Windows Server 2008/2012 and Work experience with/in the Government
