Duties
- The Contract Systems Analyst (CSA) shall provide the below scope of services and meet the following:
- The response time and services pledge of the IT support team, and (Prime Maintenance Period from Mondays to Fridays: 08:00 to 18:00 excluding Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays)
- The Baseline IT Security Policy and IT Security Guidelines
- Scope of Services:
- Take part in all phases of network projects including fund bidding, feasibility study, system design, procurement, installation, configuration, system nursing and maintenance related to the maintenance support services and enhancement of ArchSD departmental network infrastructure at QGO, Data Centre and remote sites
- Provide remedial support services to the network team to recover the departmental network in the event of failure; including monitoring the recovery situation of first line colleagues, provide advice/ guidance, vendor coordination and follow-up, and incident report preparation
- Analyze, design and specify requirements for upgrade of network equipment by adoption of new technologies before end of support, prepare and conduct system testing and user acceptance
- Monitor and manage utilization and performance of departmental network and control the allocation of computer resources
- Maintain and update system manuals and departmental IT security policy and guidelines to make them in line with production systems and IT Security requirements respectively
- Develop housekeeping jobs for system configuration control and job accounting
- Work with a team of around 6 Senior IT/ IT Officers and provide guidance to and performance monitoring of the team
- Provide support to IT security audits, regular meetings with ArchSD clients and calls for returns related to the departmental network
- Be provided with a mobile phone and is required to standby to answer calls to provide advice in handling incidents
- Normal Service Period:
- Mondays to Fridays: 08:30 to 17:18 excluding Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays (adjustable to suit operational needs)
Requirements
- Higher Diploma/Degree holder in Computer Science or equivalent
- At least 4 years of relevant post-qualification working experience
- At least 1 year of working experience as a System Analyst
- The CSA shall have Cisco Certified Network Professional or similar qualification and is required to have solid working experience in system administration and technical support of the following platforms or equivalent in similar scale of departmental network environment with roughly 1,000 users
- Platforms or equivalent:
- Firewall and Intrusion Prevention Systems of brands Fortinet, Palo Alto, SonicWall and Check Point;
- Cisco/H3C Routers using routing protocols, such as OSPF, BGP;
- H3C backbone network switches;
- Cisco VPN and Identity Services Engine;
- Network monitoring and management tools of brands SolarWinds, SevOne and Cacti;
- Aruba Wi-Fi controllers and access points;
- Trend Micro Antivirus system;
- VMware ESXi, Windows Server 2012R2/2016/2019 and Windows 10;
- Synology Backup system; and
- Data centre requirements of OGCIO.
- The job requires the following mandatory skills:
- 1 Year x Internet Firewall Technical Support, Networking and Router Configuration
