Duties

  • Administer and coordinate with B/Ds and external vendors to support the security assessment of government information systems
  • Prepare and provide technical advice on secure coding best practices and remediate actions regarding the results of security assessments
  • Administer and coordinate updates to maintain accurate and up-to-date contact details for department IT security contacts
  • Consolidate and analyse security-related news on information security incidents and threats, research remediation strategies for affected IT systems, and assist in issuing threat intelligence to B/Ds
  • Maintain and resolve technical issues related to both hardware and software for servers and network infrastructures of DPO IT systems
  • Assist with system design, development, implementation, user acceptance testing (UAT), and Security Risk Assessment and Audit (SRAA) of DPO IT systems
  • Prepare system documentation such as user guide, program flow diagrams and system operation procedures
  • Support day-to-day operations of the Project Governance and Cybersecurity Division
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the supervisor

Requirements

  • Higher Diploma/Degree holder in Computer Science or equivalent
  • At least 3 years of relevant post-qualification working experience
  • At least 1 year of working experience as an Analyst Programmer
  • Possesses solid experience in developing web and mobile applications with secure coding practices
  • Possesses working experience in server and network infrastructure
  • Possesses working experience in security operations, including vulnerability management, security monitoring, and coordination of incident response activities
  • Possesses working experience in security assessment processes, including security code review and SRAA
  • Possesses working experience in project management, including coordinating with multiple stakeholders, developing documentation and vendor management
  • Good command of English and Chinese languages
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • The job requires the following mandatory skills:
    • 3 years x IT Application Development and Management
    • 2 years x Java Application Framework (e.g. Struts (Apache)), JavaScript Programming, JAVA Programming, MySQL, System Implementation and Maintenance/Support, Website Administration, Web Programming, Client Service and IT Service Management
    • 1 year x IT Planning, Network & System Management, Security Risk Assessment and Audit, Quality Assurance, Quality Management and Vendor Management
    • 6 months x Moderate Exposure of Putonghua in Work and Moderate Exposure in Written English
