Duties

To provide administration of network equipment including switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers and other network appliances of the departmental network infrastructure
To provide technical advices and support services for the Internet and Intranet and administration of LAN & WAN
To manage subordinators and provide network support services in HQ and other remote offices
To provide technical support for IT planning and IT security matter
To provide technical advices and support services for the EDB virtual private network infrastructure
To manage the vendor(s) to perform different services including but not limited to the network intrusion detection service, departmental portal
To manage IT project(s) and vendor(s) to ensure the deliverables are in good quality and the schedule is smooth

Requirements

Higher Diploma/Degree holder in Computer Science or equivalent
At least 4 years of relevant post-qualification working experience
At least 1 year of working experience as a Systems Analyst
At least 4 years working experiences in technical support of network infrastructure with not less than 2 years in project management duties including network design and system implementation
At least 3 years working experiences in management of CISCO IOS software and products, routers and switches configuration
At least 3 years working experience for monitoring the vendor performance, conducting the Security Risk
Assessment Audit and supporting network intrusion detection service
At least 2 years working experiences for managing IT projects and vendor management, preferable in government sector
At least 1 year working experiences for IT procurement, preferable in government sector
Hands-on Experience in cloud networking infrastructure design and maintenance is an advantage
Experience in wireless and mobile technology is an advantage.
Related certificates such as CCNP/CCNA holders are required.
Related certificates such as CISM/CISA/CISSP holders are preferred.
The job requires the following mandatory skills:
- 4 Years x Infrastructure and TCP/IP
- 3 Years x Metro-Ethernet Network, Network Design, Networking, Remote Access Server, Router Configuration, Virtual LAN/LAN Switching, Virtual Private Network, Wide Area Network, Work experience with/in the Government and Experience in Managing Government Projects
- 2 Years x Information Security Management, IT Planning, IT Security, Network & System Management, Security Risk Assessment and Audit, Security Incident Detection and Handling, Security Risk Assessment, Wireless and Mobile, Experience in Managing Government IT Standards, Intensive Exposure in Written English, IT Service/ Outsourcing Management, Project Management and Vendor Management
