Duties

  • Work as a member of Helpdesk Team;
  • Assist in the Helpdesk services for the Buildings Department (BD) including both headquarters and other remot offices
  • Provide technical support to end users in installation, configuration and use of software assigned by the BD
  • Conduct system health check and maintain the operation of PC/LAN and computer systems of the department
  • Assist setup of user PCs and provide helpdesk services
  • Maintain IT inventory of the department
  • Setup and deploy IT equipment to the users
  • Assist IT staff of the BD in supporting BD's systems as assigned by the supervisor(s)
  • Prepare, maintain and deploy master copy of each Personal Computer (PC)
  • Provide user support services to video conference, iPhone, Building Information Modeling, and laptop computers
  • Carry out office upgrade projects, including coordinating and implementing IT infrastructure improvements and assisting end users to ensure seamless transition and minimal disruption to daily operations
  • Perform other IT-related duties in the capacity as IT Assistant or as instructed by the BD

Requirements

  • Level 2 or equivalent or above in five subjects, including Chinese Language and English Language, in the HKDSE, OR
  • Level 2 / Grade E or above in five subjects, including Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B before 2007), in the HKCEE, OR
  • Diploma/Higher Diploma/Degree holder in Computer Science or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of working experience as an IT Assistant
  • The proposed candidate(s) must have at least 2 years of solid working experience in providing LAN administration, PC hardware and software, Microsoft Office or Helpdesk services
  • Any bids that fail to meet the above requirements and the mandatory requirements would not be considered
  • The job requires the following mandatory skills:
    • 1 year x Microsoft Active Directory Administration, System Backup Operation, Office Automation, PC LAN Support, Windows 7/8/10 and Helpdesk Call Handling Technique
