The proposed staff shall be responsible for performing the IT infrastructure and server farm upgrade and maintenance, and IT security implementation for CSD IT Infrastructure. The tasks include, but not limited to, the followings:

• Support the setup of new IT infrastructure and server farms, including integration with existing network infrastructure, in full compliance with government IT security policies and standards
  
• Perform VM farm upgrades, migrations, backup/restore operations, and expansions with minimal service disruption
  
• Monitor IT infrastructure health, resource utilization, and security metrics to detect and address alerts promptly
  
• Execute maintenance tasks for IT infrastructure, including security patching, software updates, and related activities
  
• Provide expert IT advice on technology standards, government IT security policy compliance, and industry best practices
  
• Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, changes, incidents, and asset records
  
• Support infrastructure testing and assist with periodic disaster recovery exercises
  
• Provide on-call production support and maintenance services, which may require working outside normal office hours
  
• Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors

• Higher Diploma/Degree holder in Computer Science or equivalent
  
• At least 3 years of relevant post-qualification working experience
  
• At least 1 year of working experience as a Programmer
  
• The proposed staff must have solid working experience in:
  
  • Support and maintain high-availability system infrastructure
    
  • Proven expertise in server farm and systems management, event management, with hands-on proficiency in VMware and vCenter required
    
  • Site preparation and readiness
    
  • Familiarity with IT infrastructure components and operations in enterprise environments
    
  • Coordination of vendor support
    
• Good documentation, analytical and problem troubleshooting skill
• Good command in verbal and written communication in both English and Chinese
  
• Disciplined, self-motivated, independent, able to work under pressure, fast learning and good team player
  
• Undergoing integrity check by HKPF is required
  
• The job requires the following mandatory skills:
  
  • 2 years x System Implementation and Maintenance/Support and Server Virtualisation Technology
    
  • 1 year x System Backup Operation, Windows Server 2008/2012, Coordination, Event Management, Shift work and Site Preparation Experience
