Duties
- To lead the design and implementation of AI infrastructure, including BDAP integration, on-premise LLMs, external API access, containerization, and migration of legacy workflow to AI-assisted automated workflows
- To manage and support the development and deployment of AI applications on shared platforms, overseeing tools such as OpenWebUI, n8n, and RAGFlow
- To ensure the secure and stable operation of AI platforms and applications, implementing robust monitoring and incident response protocols
- To provide expert advice on IT security specifically for AI infrastructure, covering hardware (GPUs), platforms, and application-layer security to mitigate AI-specific risks (e.g., prompt injection, data leakage)
- To act as a technical advisor and liaison for advisory/consultancy services and facilitate solution deployments to other Bureaux/Departments (B/Ds)
- To monitor and evaluate emerging AI and Data Science technologies (e.g., AI Engineering, Agentic Workflows) and advise on their scalability and applicability to the department's roadmap
- To supervise and monitor the performance of his/her subordinates and external contractors
- To perform any other duties as required
Requirements
- Higher Diploma/Degree holder in Computer Science or equivalent
- At least 8 years of relevant post-qualification working experience
- At least 2 years of working experience as a Project Manager
- Solid working experience in the role of Technical PM/Consultant or AI/Data Solution Architect in the following areas:
- AI & Big Data Infrastructure: Hands-on experience with Kubernetes containerization; GPU resource management; Performance tuning; Scaling/Clustering; deploying LLMs (e.g. DeepSeek / Qwen) in on-premise environments and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)
- AI Application Stacks: Experience managing projects involving Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, Vector Databases, and orchestration tools (e.g., n8n, LangChain)
- IT Security & Governance: Experience in IT security management, specifically regarding data privacy, model security, and secure API integration
- Technical Consultancy: Experience in technical consultancy related to AI/Data Science implementation and deployment
- Project Management: Experience in HKSAR Government projects (preferred) or large-scale enterprise AI transformation projects
- Team Leadership: Experience in supervising a technical team containing of at least 2 members

- Desirable Qualifications:

- Certifications in Cloud (e.g. AWS Solutions Architect)
- Certifications in IT Security (e.g. CISM/CISSP)
- Certifications in AI Implementation (e.g. Azure AI Engineer Associate)
