Duties

Be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Smart Lab, such as regular development and update of exhibition materials and technical showcases, hardware and software administration, maintenance and upgrade, website portal maintenance
Coordinate with various parties, such as different government B/Ds, public organisations and vendors, for the arrangement of seminars, and workshops for technology promotion within the Government and public
Provide support to large-scale exhibitions and promotional activities, such as drafting social media posts on the adoption of innovation and technology (I&T) for enhancing public services
Study and evaluate emerging and innovative technologies such as Generative AI, RPA, Big Data Analytics, Chatbot, Cloud Computing, FinTech, IoT, Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, Robotics, Mobile and Cyber Security technologies, etc.
Produce technical briefs, guidelines and evaluation summaries, and advise in the use of emerging and innovative technologies
Perform user requirements collection and clarification, work with users and contractors to conduct proof-of-concept testing
Work with contractors to deliver IT projects, and perform quality assurance on contractor's deliverables
Perform IT system maintenance and supporting tasks as assigned
Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors

Requirements

Higher Diploma/Degree holder in Computer Science or equivalent
At least 4 years of relevant post-qualification working experience
At least 1 year of working experience as a Systems Analyst
Solid experience in implementing and supporting IT systems using Government Cloud Infrastructure Services (GCIS) and e-Government Infrastructure Services (EGIS)
Solid experience in software system architecture design, network architecture design and development
Experience in organising IT seminar / workshop and providing logistic support for the events is highly preferred
Experience in large-scale exhibitions and promotional activities is highly preferred
Experience in Government projects or public-facing web portal
Experience in business analysis, solution evaluation / research, and liaison with government B/Ds to understand their business needs and technical know-how
Experience in writing technical articles, product evaluation summaries and project documents
Good knowledge of emerging and innovative technology related to Generative AI, RPA, Big Data Analytics, IoT, Chatbot, Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, Robotics, Mobile and Cyber Security technologies is preferred
Able to communicate in Cantonese and English and can read/write Chinese and English
The job requires the following mandatory skills:
- 2 years x EGIS, Linux System Administration, Network & System Management, Server Virtualisation Technology and Work experience with/in the Government
- 1 year x IT Advisory & Promotion, eg.Exhibition,Publication, IT Service Management and Vendor Management
