Duties
- The proposed staff shall take a management role for
- The system maintenance support and upgrade of IT network infrastructure
- Administering and providing IT advice of the IT systems
- Planning the network infrastructure relocation exercise.
- Manage, supervise and perform quality control on the system maintenance support and upgrade of IT network infrastructure to all networking hardware and software (including routers, switches, firewalls, internal and external load balancers, Wifi Controller and Access Point, DNS appliance, VPN gateway, network monitoring systems and etc.)
- Lead the contractors in providing support for network infrastructure services running 24 x 7 around the clock, and ensure prompt and accurate resolution in case of issues encountered
- Perform proactive maintenance such as overseeing system performance, managing network infrastructure support service providers and vendors on performance monitoring and tuning, capacity planning and expansion, applying firmware updates and software patches
- Lead liaison with applications teams and various support teams in ongoing or project-based network related issue in the areas of feasible study, analysis and design, sizing, procurement, implementation and testing
- Provide support services outside office hour as required
- Ensure the IT network infrastructure follows the IT infrastructure standards and best practices
- Ensure the IT network infrastructure is compliance with the IT security policy and guidelines
- Provide technical advisory support for the IT systems, including Email systems, public website, intranet website and video conferencing system for handling video visit in the company's premises
- Plan and provide technical advice for the smooth relocation of network infrastructure to new headquarters
- Carry out any other duties as assigned by supervisors
Requirements
- Higher Diploma/Degree holder in Computer Science or equivalent
- At least 10 years of relevant post-qualification working experience
- At least 8 years of hands-on experience in Cisco/ Huawei/ H3C router and switches configuration and technical support
- At least 4 years of working experience as a Project Manager
- Solid knowledge and good technical skill for equipment of Cisco, Huawei, H3C, Fortigate, Check Point, HP Intelligent Management Center, F5, A10, Imperva and etc.
- Experience in supervising a team of 4 members or more to provide on-going maintenance and support of network infrastructure
- Experience in implementing enterprise network infrastructure
- Experience in project management or technical consultancy
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, in Chinese and English
- Well-developed problem-solving skills and root cause analysis skills
- Ability to understand strategy and align tactical and strategic work in a well-balanced way, to achieve results
- Self-motivated, independent, diligent, polite, pro-active, fast learning and good team player
- Working at remote correctional facilities for provision of support services as and when required
- Undergoing integrity check by HKPF is required
- The job requires the following mandatory skills:
- 3 years x CISCO IOS Software & CISCO Products, Huawei VRP & Huawei Products, Internet Firewall Technical Support, Infrastructure, Router Configuration, Virtual Private Network, Wide Area Network, Wireless Technology, Coordination, Work experience with/in the Government, Project Management and Vendor Management
