To implement and be involved in the development processes and maintenance of spatial data platform including:

• Develop, review and be involved in the development of large scale spatial data dissemination platform riding on cloud environment
  
• Develop web-based application on the Intranet, Internet or cloud environment
  
• Design and implement REST based web services and APIs
  
• Develop responsive web application
  
• Identify and rectify spatial data issues during functional testing, system integration testing, and support user acceptance test
  
• Prepare and maintain program documentation to support system enhancement and bug fixing
  
• Prepare project reports and specifications
  
• Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor

• Holder of a degree awarded by a university in Hong Kong, or a degree awarded by a local or overseas recognised tertiary institution, or equivalent
  
• The degree shall be related to Computer Science, Information Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent
  
• Solid knowledge and experience in system design, implementation, and documentation of web applications development
  
• Have at least 2 years post qualification information technology experience
  
• At least 2 years hands-on experience in enterprise application using backend frameworks such as ASP.NET Core, Java Spring, Java Hibernate
  
• At least 2 years hands-on experience in web design and implementation of enterprise application using JavaScript, HTML5 and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS)
  
• At least 2 years experience in Geographic Information System or nation/state/city Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI) projects is essential
  
• Hands-on experience in providing technical assistance for user enquiries is a plus
  
• Good command of both spoken and written Chinese and English
  
• The job requires the following mandatory skills:
  
  • 2 years x Geographic Information System, JavaScript Programming, JAVA Programming, Structured Query Language, Web Services, XML, Work experience with/in the Government and Moderate Exposure in Written English
