Duties

Be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Smart Lab, such as regular development and update of exhibition materials and technical showcases, hardware and software administration, maintenance and upgrade
Coordinate with various parties, such as different government B/Ds, public organisations and solution suppliers to conduct business needs and IT solutions matching, and organise thematic workshops to conduct assessment in collaboration with relevant department
Study and evaluate emerging and innovative technologies such as Generative AI, RPA, Big Data Analytics, Chatbot, IoT, Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, Robotics, Biometric, RFID, ASR, Video Analytics, etc.
Produce technical briefs, guidelines and evaluation summaries, and advise in the use of emerging and innovative technologies
Perform user requirements collection and clarification, work with users and contractors to conduct proof-of-concept testing
Prepare test plans and assists users to conduct user acceptance test
Monitor the progress of project activities to meet the target schedule, and perform quality assurance on contractor's deliverables
Participate in the security risk assessment and audit exercise
Carry out other duties as designated by supervisor.

Requirements

Higher Diploma/Degree holder in Computer Science or equivalent
At least 4 years of relevant post-qualification working experience
At least 1 year of working experience as a Systems Analyst
Solid experience in supporting Software Defined Network (SDN), Wireless Network, Network Firewall and Network-Attached Storage (NAS)
Solid experience in supporting desktop operating systems such as end user devices (PCs, notebooks, tablets and smart phones), virtual machines, Windows/Linux server and Audio/Visual system
Experience in business analysis, solution evaluation / research, and liaison with government B/Ds to understand their business needs and technical know-how
Experience in writing technical articles, product evaluation summaries and project documents
Experience in assessing and testing innovative IT solutions in the technology areas of Robotics, ASR and Video Analytics to match with business needs is highly preferred
Experience in organising IT seminar / workshop and providing logistic support for the events is highly preferred
Good knowledge of emerging and innovative technology related to Generative AI, RPA, Big Data Analytics, IoT, Chatbot, Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, Biometric Reader and RFID is preferred
Able to communicate in Cantonese and English and can read/write Chinese and English
The job requires the following mandatory skills:
- 2 years x Linux System Administration, Network & System Management, Server Virtualisation Technology and Work experience with/in the Government
- 1 year x Moderate Exposure in Written English, IT Service Management and Vendor Management
