Collaborate with another Systems Analyst, to

• co-act as technical lead for data management team and database administrator
  
• keep abreast of data management technologies
  
• analyse user requirements, design and develop total solutions for data management including multi-data centre solutions, hybrid-cloud solutions, open-source database software/technology in supporting web/mobile GIS applications
  
• design and implement data security framework in supporting web/mobile GIS applications
  
• carry out database administration including Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Database, PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases
  
• document data management solution, testing and validation procedures
  
• work with application development team and infrastructure team on enabling changes and system
  optimization
  
• assist in conducting the system analysis and design and system implementation and preparing the relevant documents
  
• perform other duties assigned by the supervisor related to application development

• Hold a Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field awarded by a university recognized by Hong Kong SAR Government
  
• The degree shall be related to Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Engineering or equivalent
  
• Holder of Certified Oracle DBA OCP
  
• At least 2 years hands-on experience and proven track record in PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server skill, database configuration plus administration, database backup and recovery, database troubleshooting, and Unix/Linux shell scripting
  
• Possessing strong sense of analytical and problem solving skills
  
• Knowledge of and experience in the following areas are essential:
  
  • PL/SQL programming
    
  • High availability data architecture and multi-data centre deployment via technologies such as advanced replication and clustering
    
  • Linux & Windows Server OS and public cloud environments
    
  • System development life cycle
    
• Have at least 2 years experience in managing PostgreSQL database, database related development and maintenance
  
• Have at least 2 years experience in Unix/Linux shell scripting and commands and familiarity with command-line tools and utilities for database management
  
• Have at least 2 years experience in system implementation of government projects
  
• Preferably has practical experience working as a Database Administrator particularly with Oracle Exadata or database tuning experience
• The job requires the following mandatory skills:
  • 2 years x Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Real Application Cluster, Oracle RDBMS, SQL*PLUS/PL/SQL/PRO*C and Unix/Linux Shell Scripting
