Duties

To provide system administration and management
To assist in development of computer programs of the new IT systems, including AI-driven systems and HR systems
To code computer programs based on user requirements from different units
To conduct unit testing and system testing according to testing plan and prepare system documentation
To perform data validation and database design for related systems including handling the Hong Kong Supplementary Character Set (HKSCS) to ensure data accuracy in the AI / HR system
To perform system integration to support operational needs such as Geographic Information System (GIS) portal or other related systems
To perform system health check, root cause analysis, system implementation, technical studies of IT projects
To undertake any other system development activities and duties as assigned
To support and conduct IT systems training/briefing to end users
To support the procurement of IT products or services
To provide on-call technical support duties and perform overtime work, including work outside of normal office hours, on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, as and when necessary and upon the request of the Government Representative

Requirements

Bachelor's degree, Associate degree, or Higher Diploma in information technology or a related discipline
At least 3 years of relevant post-qualification working experience
At least 1 year of working experience as an Analyst Programmer
Must have work experience with/in the Government
Must have solid experience in system testing, integration and migration
Must have solid experience in gathering and synthesizing user requirements into structured system specifications
Must have solid experience in web server administration and support
Must have work experience in system development, including proficiency in programming languages such as HTML5, CSS, PHP, Python and Java
Must have work experience with database systems
Disciplined, able to work under pressure, quick learner and willing to work after office hours
Work experience in HR system administration and support is desirable
Experience in AI-related project is highly desirable
Experience in data analytics is highly desirable
Experience in project related to Government disciplined services is desirable
The job requires the following mandatory skills:
- 4 years x IT Application Development and Management, Apache Web Server, HTML5, JAVA Programming, Microsoft SQL Server, PHP programming, Web Programming and Web Services
- 2 years x Client/Server Application Development, Chinese Computing Standards, eg.HKSCS,Big5,Unicode, Data Management, Document Flow/Workflow Management System and LDAP Application Programming
- 1.5 years x Geographic Information System, Security Risk Assessment, Work experience with/in the Government and Software Testing Management
- 1 year x Knowledge in Gov't Procurement/Disposal Procedures and Experience in Conducting IT Training/Briefing
