The staff is required to perform system administration, system upgrade, system design and analysis, development, testing, application deployment and document for system maintenance and enhancement including but not limited to the following:

• To assist the Systems Engineers and Assistant Systems Engineers to manage, maintain and enhancement of existing applications and manage new projects
  
• To collect and analyse user requirements and perform system analysis and design
  
• To conduct feasibility study and impact analysis, evaluate implementation options, perform system sizing, undertake phyiscal design, produce and maintain system document
  
• To develop and enhance application programs with quality assurance
  
• To assist in project management, supervise and monitor the progress and performance of contractors
  
• To ensure the system design and architectural solutions comply with government standards
  
• To perform day-to-day monitoring and performing troubleshooting
  
• Evaluate, recommend and follow up the procurement of hardware and software for the Government IT projects
  
• Maintain inventory for IT assest
  
• To perform system/software upgrade and patch management
  
• To prepare and deliver presentations/demonstration on all deliverables to internal teams and end users
  
• To support IT security assessment and compliance audit
  
• To perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor

• Higher Diploma/Degree holder in Computer Science or equivalent
  
• Minimum 3 years of post-qualification IT experience with at least 1 year of hands-on experience in performing an analyst/ programmer role
  
• At least 1 year of experience in analysis, design, development and implementation of IT applications and systems
  
• At least 2 years' experience in using database (e.g. Oracle RDBMS, MS SQL Server, Back-end programming language (e.g. Python, PL/SQL, T-SQL), Webpage programming language (e.g. HTML, CSS, JavaScript, C#.NET, Classic ASP) and Web services programming language (e.g. SOAP, RESTful)
• Experience in any following area is an advantage:

  • Linux / Windows Shell Script
    
• To assume duty in 1823 offices in Yau Ma Tei or Cheung Sha Wan subject to operational needs
  
• Overtime work, irregular hours work and work on Sat/Sun are required when necessary
  
• The job requires the following mandatory skills:
