Duties

  • To assist in setting up, upgrade, distribution and relocation of workstations, network equipment and mobile devices
  • To provide frontline and helpdesk service to users
  • To diagnose and resolve technical problems, including the IT systems and peripherals on PC, LAN, VPN and mobile devices
  • To interact and follow up with vendors for maintenance and fault reported
  • To perform webmaster services to the websites under CMAB&;#8217;s purview
  • To assist in housekeeping and monitoring the stock level of the inventory of IT supplies, and assist in their procurement and payment
  • To update and maintain inventory records, preform physical checks and maintain procedure manuals and documentation
  • To provide services, upon request, at remote offices or other locations on any days including Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays outside normal business hours occasionally
  • To carry out other duties which may be assigned for achieving project objectives

Requirements

  • Level 2 or equivalent or above in five subjects, including Chinese Language and English Language, in the HKDSE, OR
  • Level 2 / Grade E or above in five subjects, including Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B before 2007), in the HKCEE, OR
  • Diploma/Higher Diploma/Degree holder in Computer Science or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of working experience as an IT Assistant
  • Solid experience in user support
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Windows 11, Microsoft Office, Apple iOS
  • Experience in administration of Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft Outlook
  • Experience in the Microsoft Active Directory Administration and File Server System
  • Proficient in wireless/mobile email solution
  • Experience in supporting video conferencing solution
  • Experience in GOA applications, such as Centrally Managed Messaging Platform (CMMP), Notes/Domino email solution, Government Confidential Mail System, Open Source Departmental Portal and e-Leave is an advantage
  • Experience in the implementation of remote access solution in particular the SSL VPN is preferred
  • The job requires the following mandatory skills:
    • 1 year x Microsoft Active Directory Administration, Office Automation, PC LAN Support, Windows 7/8/10, Wireless/mobile Email solution, Work experience with/in the Government, Helpdesk Call Handling Technique, Experience in Managing Government IT Standards and Vendor Management
