Duties

Tree Inventory Management System (TIMS) and its mobile application
- To support users and to provide assistance, guidance, demonstrations and expertise advice in system maintenance, improvement and enhancement works of TIMS and its mobile application
- To support implementation of the maintenance services, system enhancement, bug fixing, etc.
- To review the existing infrastructure, system architecture, database design, licensing options, etc.
- To design and implement quality checking tools and carry out quality control for verification and rectification of data and functions, system maintenance, enhancement, bug fixing and system performance tuning, and workflow and document management, etc.
- To update and maintain, and to provide assistance, guidance, demonstrations, and expert advice for updating and maintaining system documentation and manuals such as data and function specifications, program manuals, and user guidelines, etc. ensuring they reflect the latest production system
- To assist in monitoring and reviewing contractor's services and deliverables
WO and Financial Information
- To provide assistance, guidance, demonstrations and expertise advice for data analysis for works/task orders and financial information from project requests and relevant databases, e.g. Maintenance Accounting and Information Systems (MAINS), for daily operations and management purposes under Landscape Division (LD)
- To update and maintain the bankbook of Maintenance Vote based on project requests and relevant databases, e.g. MAINS, for daily operations and management purposes under LD
Overall
- To analyze, integrate, report and present the system status and required data to LD
- To provide technical, specialist advice and consultation in IT areas for office operation, development of TIMS and system integration, such as data analysis and modelling, network, methodologies, quality, security, IT benchmarking, and best practice studies
- To handle other ad-hoc IT related duties, including but not limited to:
  - Monitoring and supervising the IT service contractors, and adopting hands on approach if required
  - Coordinating with other offices and divisions

Requirements

A degree in either Computer Science, Information System, Land Surveying, Geomatics or equivalents, as awarded by an university in Hong Kong or by an equivalent overseas education institution
At least 4 years of relevant post-qualification working experience
At least 1 year of working experience as a Systems Analyst
At least 4 years post-qualification experience in IT system development and maintenance
At least 3 years post-qualification experience in GIS applications development, GIS system maintenance and support
At least 2 year practical experience in implementation, system integration and maintenance with enterprise dataset applications
At least 1 year mobile phone application development
Staff would need to station in Kwun Tong Office.
The job requires the following mandatory skills:
- 3 years x Geographic Information System
- 1 year x JavaScript Programming, Microsoft SQL Server, ArcSDE and Web Programming
