Duties

The CAP will be responsible for providing end-to-end IT support throughout the software development life cycle, which includes collecting user requirements, reviewing system design and prototypes, performing comprehensive testing, conducting regular training, supporting system deployment and nursing, maintaining the systems and providing helpdesk support
The CAP may be required to perform system testing and on-call support outside normal office hours and during weekends/public holidays occasionally
The CAP is mainly deployed to perform the following duties:
- Assist in collecting user requirements for application systems
- Assist in reviewing workflows and prototypes of new features and functions of application systems
- Participate in user acceptance test
- Assist in data conversion of application systems
- Assist in reviewing project deliverables and documentation
- Assist in rollout of new features and functions of application systems
- Develop, test, deploy and maintain VBA macros to simplify data entry and maintain operational efficiency
- Assist in arranging and conducting regular briefing and training sessions for users of procuring departments
- Provide helpdesk services to users of procuring departments on the daily operation and technical support of application systems
- Monitor system issues and coordinate with outsource contractor and corresponding departments and parties for investigation and resolution
- Perform health check of application systems after deployment of programs outside normal office hours
- Participate in system testing including disaster recovery (DR) drill and ad hoc support outside normal office hours
- Carry out other duties assigned by the supervisor

Requirements

Higher Diploma/Degree holder in Computer Science or equivalent
At least 4 years of relevant post-qualification working experience
At least 2 years of working experience as an Analyst Programmer
Knowledge and experience in system implementation and integration, and support of IT systems.
Knowledge and experience in system testing and user acceptance testing.
Knowledge and experience in providing helpdesk support of IT systems.
Knowledge and experience in VBA programming language.
Experience in support of procurement-related systems is preferable
The job requires the following mandatory skills:
- 2 years x Work experience with/in the Government
- 1 year x System Implementation and Maintenance/Support, VBA, Helpdesk Call Handling Technique and Software Testing Management
