Duties

  • To provide first line helpdesk service to computer users and perform associated helpdesk activities using tools provided, if any and carry out on-site inspection, in more than one office, and take recovery action according to prescribed procedures
  • To operate computer and associated equipment/facilities according to prescribed standards and procedures, monitor their performance and perform routine system maintenance
  • To provide system administration to Centrally Managed Messaging Platform (CMMP), Active Directory, Windows File Server, Mobile Workplace Service, Microsoft System Centre Configuration Manager and Client, Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager and Client, Trend Micro Control Manager, Arcserve Backup, Symantec Backup Exec, McAfee Drive Encryption, McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator
  • To set up and maintain workstation, printer equipment, mobile device, video conferencing equipment, network and data communication environment; scheduling and monitoring computer equipment installation/relocation and perform site preparation work
  • To fulfil logging and administrative reporting requirements and assist in preparing statistics and reports
  • To keep stock and monitor stock level of computer supplies and assist in procurement
  • To update and maintain inventory records of computer hardware and software assets; perform physical checks and maintain documentations
  • To develop programs and enhance/maintain programs in different computer applications
  • To conduct system testing and user acceptance
  • To work with internal staff, project teams or contractors in carrying out software installation, upgrade and configuration to computer system
  • To provide on-site support outside normal office hour when necessary
  • To provide operational support for special events such as special speech delivery, briefing session and staff activity
  • To provide emergency telephone support during non-prime hour as and when required

Requirements

  • Holder of a higher diploma in information technology, or equivalent
  • At least 3 years of relevant post-qualification working experience
  • At least 3 years' experience in the control and operation of Windows or helpdesk/computer network operation, or LAN administration, or PC/LAN support services
  • At least 1 year of working experience as a Programmer
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills in both Chinese (essentially Cantonese) and English
  • The job requires the following mandatory skills:
    • 3 years x Microsoft Active Directory Administration, PC LAN Support, Windows 7/8/10 and Helpdesk Call Handling Technique
    • 1 year x Video Conference Technology
