Duties

System Maintenance & Support of a Government Internal Email System
Provide ongoing system administration, technical support and performance tuning for monitoring systems in the Security Operations Centre (SOC);
Take part in analysis and design, implementation, and testing on system changes/enhancements in particular the areas of system monitoring tools such as PRTG, SIEM including Elastic Search, service management tools including Jira Service Management, Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) including Hyper-V and VMware;
Maintain system diagrams by reviewing and updating parts upon system changes;
Take part in operations and system changes for the HCI infrastructure components;
Review the health check monitoring procedure and automate tasks with other sub-systems;
Monitor and report for the system including system usage and healthiness of infrastructure, system services, system application;
Follow up the reported issues for the server infrastructure and the other infrastructure components across internal teams and with external contractors/vendors;
Provide other technical support for the project related matters;
Provide daily administrative support and produce reports and deliverables meeting the internal standards and requirements of the project;
Assist in planning the system maintenance events and carry out system maintenance activities for on-going support of the system;
Assist in assuring and controlling of the quality of the project deliverables produced by the contractors/vendors;
Perform tasks related to project management and administration;
Work outside office hours and provide on-call production support;
Perform any work assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

Higher Diploma/Degree holder in Computer Science or equivalent
Minimum of 4 years of post-qualification IT experience, in which includes a minimum of 1 years of working experience in system analysis and design;
Minimum of 2 years of working experience with Hyper-V, VMware;
Minimum of 2 years of working experience in system monitoring (viz. having comprehensive knowledge and experience in administration of supporting tools, e.g. PRTG);
Minimum of 1 year of working experience as a Systems Analyst
Knowledge and experience in working with hypervisors other than Hyper-V and VMware is preferred;
Knowledge and experience in working with and maintaining service management tool like Jira System Management is preferred;
Knowledge and experience in working with/in the Government is preferred;
Good command in spoken and written English is required;
Good command in spoken Mandarin is preferred;
Self-motivated, able to work independently under pressure, multi-tasking and energetic;
Criminal record checking is required.
The job requires the following mandatory skills:
- 3 years x Infrastructure, Network & System Management, System Implementation and Maintenance/Support, Server Virtualisation Technology, Moderate Exposure of Spoken English in Work, Moderate Exposure in Written English
