Job Summary:

• We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Technical Manager to design, develop, and maintain robust backend AI systems, APIs that power our applications. This role involves analyzing system requirements, implementing scalable solutions, and managing databases to ensure optimal performance and data integrity. It also involves managing and coaching more junior developers and analysts. The successful candidate will also play a key role in integrating Generative AI services into backend infrastructure, conducting code reviews, and collaborating with cross-functional teams including frontend developers and business analysts
• In addition to technical development, the Technical Manager will be responsible for troubleshooting performance issues, maintaining comprehensive documentation, and ensuring backend systems align with security and quality standards. The ideal candidate will bring strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and a collaborative mindset to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Preferred candidates will have experience with Generative AI backend Development, containerization technologies, DevOps practices, and Agile/Scrum methodologies to support continuous integration and delivery

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Development: Develop and maintain backend services for Generative AI use-cases (eg. RAG architecture, system integrations) and APIs to support various applications
• Team Leadership: managing and coaching junior developers and analysts and their delivery quality with leading practices
• System Analysis: Analyze system requirements and design scalable and efficient solutions
• Database Management: Design, implement, and manage databases, ensuring data integrity and performance
• AI Integration: Integrate Gen AI services into backend systems
• Code Review: Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, performance, and security
• Collaboration: Work closely with frontend developers, BA, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality products
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues
• Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for backend systems and processes

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in backend development and system analysis
• Technical Skills:
  
  • Proficiency in server-side languages such as .Net, Java, Python, Node.js, or Ruby
  • Experience with database technologies like MS SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Cosmo DB
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
  • Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git)
  • Understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, On-prem)
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
