Duties

To collect, consolidate and follow up user requirement on application development
To implement different IT Projects e.g Windows 10 Upgrade, Windows Server Infrastructure update, Electronic portal System...etc.
To implement different telecommunication projects e.g HKSAR Gov 4-G LTE project
To support and manage the File Server System which is to provide secured storage for user data
To support and manage the Intranet Web Server which provides the most up-to-date information for users
To support and manage the Symantec Anti-virus Management Server which centralizes signature updates for 70 workstations and 13 Microsoft servers and detects any attacks or network intrusion from the Internet
To support and manage the Window Update System which synchronises up-to-date security patches from Microsoft for workstations and 13 Microsoft servers
To provide quality assurance service, technical advice and reviews on application systems and contractors, deliverable and operation support if necessary
To handle IT technical support to end-users at different physical client sites
To provide technical support for the telecommunication service. e.g mobile handset upgrade
To handle system support for Electronic Navigational Equipment (ENE) and LED panels onboard patrol launches, eg. updating the Electronic Chart frequently and troubleshoot the issues of ENE onboard different patrol launches
To provide technical evaluation of the Electronic Navigational Equipment (ENE) solution for the project of new patrol launches
To provide technical evaluation of the CCTV System, Audio and Video System project and Video Conference System
To perform monthly UPS load test to ensure that the batteries are healthy
To assist in performing hardware and software procurement
To assist the CAP of HPS
To carry out any other duties as assigned by the supervisor and seniors of HPS

Requirements

Hold a local degree or local Higher Diploma in IT/Computer subjects or equivalent
At least 2 years of relevant post-qualification working experience
At least 1 year of working experience as a Programmer
Experience in support of systems software
Good interpersonal and communication skills
The job requires the following mandatory skills:
- 1 year x Microsoft Active Directory Administration, Anti-Virus Technology, PC LAN Support, Windows 7/8/10 and Client Service
- 6 months x System Implementation and Maintenance/Support
