The requested staff will be assigned to the project team to provide implementation of system enhancements and system support of SMARTICS-2 application and related system interfaces with other departments in data centres, Registration of Persons (ROP) offices, other Immigration branch offices and control points
- He/she is required to provide technical support, co-ordinate and advise the technical matters of the following activities:
- Procurement, system implementation and application deployment on system enhancements, configuration and tuning, testing, acceptance and maintenance
- Production support on application system and system enhancements, including the enhancement of core application supporting the new self-service kiosk, and system interfaces with other departments
- Monitoring and examination of contractors' work and deliverables
- Devise and review various system and operating procedures
- System monitoring and tuning, problem diagnosis and resolution, disaster recovery and security control
- Evaluation of the most appropriate and cost-effective solutions in resolving problems
- Production maintenance and support matters
- Round-the-clock on-call technical support
