Duties

  • To administrate and carry out the following computer operation activities:
    • Monitor computer consoles and networks status of TSW Phase 3 to ensure all system components are functioning properly
    • Keep track of the system events, notify responsible support teams
    • Log and make announcements for system change and maintenance
    • Monitor batch jobs running, perform job rerun and other established procedures in Application Operation Manual (AOM) and Computer Operation Manual (COPM)
    • Conduct on-site activities at data centers
  • To provide IT support for the implementation of TSW Phase 3
  • To provide operation support on system monitoring, incident management, change management and inventory management, etc.
  • To assist the contractors to carry out system support activities
  • To provide helpdesk support
  • To carry out any other duties assigned by the supervisor
  • The candidate will be required to work on shift duty to support 24x7 production system operations, including night shifts, weekends, holidays, and off-site assignments as needed

Requirements

  • Level 2 or equivalent or above in five subjects, including Chinese Language and English Language, in the HKDSE, OR
  • Level 2 / Grade E or above in five subjects, including Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B before 2007), in the HKCEE, OR
  • Diploma/Higher Diploma/Degree holder in Computer Science or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of working experience as a Senior IT Assistant
  • Experience in the following areas is an advantage:
    • Experience in cloud infrastructure, such as SAN storages and server virtualisation, etc.
    • Experience in Government Cloud Infrastructure Services (GCIS)
  • The candidate should also:
    • Be hard-working and self-motivated with positive attitude.
  • Other Requirement
    • Required to provide on-call and on-site support service on 24x7 basis
  • Security vetting is required.
  • The job requires the following mandatory skills:
    • 3 years x Windows 7/8/10
    • 2 years x PC LAN Support 1 year x Work experience with/in the Government and Helpdesk Call Handling Technique
