An Analyst/Programmer is mainly deployed to perform any of the following duties:-

• Provide application support and solve ad-hoc problems
  
• Perform fire-fighting maintenance activities
  
• Carry out enhancements, application problem fixing, software upgrade, etc.
  
• Develop programs, conduct system testing, support user acceptance test and production release, etc.
  
• Prepare, review and update system documents
  
• Provide technical support to assist user in carrying out capacity planning, system monitoring & tuning, system administration, database administration, system operation & housekeeping activities
  
• Prepare data conversion specifications and coordinate with third party contractors to carry out data conversion
  
• Provide application training to users
  
• Conduct disaster recovery drill
  
• Perform tasks related to inventory control
  
• Provide assistance in the procurement of computer hardware/software and services
  
• Provide assistance in the security assessment and audit processes, attend related meetings when required, provide comments on the related assessment and audit reports, perform proper system hardening when required
• Provide programming, database support and user interface customization for the GIS application
  
• Perform any other duties assigned by supervisor

• Higher diploma/degree awarded by a university in Hong Kong or a degree awarded by an overseas education institution to a Hong Kong resident, or equivalent
  
• The higher diploma/degree shall be related to Computer Science, Computer Engineer, Information Engineering, Information Technology, Geo-informatics, Geomatics Engineering, Geographic Information Science, or equivalent
  
• At least 3 years of relevant post-qualification working experience
  
• At least 1 year of working experience as an Analyst Programmer
  
• Preferably have experience in Oracle dataguard, data migration and data conversion or possession of Oracle certifications would be an advantage
  
• The job requires the following mandatory skills:
  
  • 1 year x Crystal Report, MS ASP.NET, .NET C#, Oracle RDBMS and SQL*PLUS/PL/SQL/PRO*C
